An alumni of PGI Chandigarh (General Surgery) , Dr. N. Ragavan, trained and worked as a Consultant Urologist and UroOncologist in UK. He did his fellowship in Germany under Prof Stolzenburg. He has 15 + years of working in UroOncology with expertise in open, laparoscopy and robotic surgeries for patients with prostate , bladder, kidney , penile and testicular cancers.
He was first in South India to perform novel and pioneering works in Robotics including Extraperitoneal radical prostatectomy Total Intracorporeal nephroureterectomy , RPLND, Cystectomy with ileal conduit, Boari flap , Culp pyeloplasty and more.
A keen academician, researcher and teacher, Dr Ragavan conducts training programme in UroOncology , mentors Urology trainees and has published 35 papers in international journals,

Senior Consultant Gynecologist and Head of UroGynaecology Apollo Hospital Chennai, Chennai , India Dr Meera Ragavan is an alumini of Madras Medical college with 32 Gold medals including the most prestigious Johnstone Gold Medal . She trained and worked in Obstetrics and Gynecology at PGI Chandigarh , JIPMER and in Manchester,UK. She worked as a Consultant Obs and Gynec in South Manchester University Teaching Hospitals, UK. In India, Dr Meera has been a pioneer in UroGyanecology and minimally invasive gynecological surgery including robtotics. She is a faculty in many national and international Gynecology and UroGynecology forums
This was awarded to me for acquiring the first position in all the university examinations conducted throughout the undergraduate period by the Madras Medical College in Dec. 1994.
